Ithaca, N.Y. (August 30, 2016) – Swensen’s Markets, a family-owned grocery chain serving Twin Falls, Idaho, today announced it has teamed up with Rosie, an industry leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web, to launch its eCommerce service: FOOD2U. Swensen’s will launch the service in all three of its store locations.
“Having lived and worked alongside our customers for more than five decades, Swensen’s has deep roots in the Magic Valley,” said Andrew Swensen, co-owner and vice president of operations, Swensen’s Markets. “One of the secrets to our success has been offering services that our customers want. Swensen’s FOOD2U does just that, merging today’s technology with the quality products offered in our stores to create an easy, convenient and fun shopping experience.”
Swensen’s Markets is a member of Associated Food Stores (AFS), a cooperatively owned wholesale distributor serving nearly 500 independent supermarkets in eight states. In 2014, AFS selected Rosie as its recommended eCommerce partner for all of its member stores.
“Rosie is an industry leader in supplying state-of-the-art eCommerce solutions to independent retailers,” said Swensen. “Rosie’s technology allows local stores, like Swensen’s, to compete head-to-head with the mega-marts of the world.”
Rosie CEO Nick Nickitas added, “We are delighted that Swensen’s Markets selected Rosie as their partner for mobile and online shopping, as well as for the delivery logistics of its eCommerce infrastructure. Our expertise and quality is a perfect match for Swensen’s and we’re excited to help them strengthen customer loyalty and increase profitability through an eCommerce program that’s customized for their store and personalized for their shoppers.”
