Rosie, an Instacart Company is excited to join with Progressive Grocer in honoring product manager Jon Mareane. Mareane was recently named among Progressive Grocer’s 2022 GenNext honorees. Young professionals under 40 in food retail who are reimagining and defining the future of food retail in America comprise this select group of honorees.
Mareane is recognized among them for his work in launching Rosie’s SNAP online payments program, which paved the way for countless independent grocers to start accepting SNAP/EBT payments from customers shopping online who rely upon these benefits to help pay for groceries.
While many at the company contributed to the program, Mareane tirelessly led the charge and was vital to its success, his thoughtful, detail-oriented approach guiding Rosie through the complicated testing and approval process.
“Jon Mareane’s work has helped independent grocers open up convenient online access for millions of American families for whom SNAP puts food on tables. Accepting SNAP online payments involves close collaboration with both our retailer partners and the federal government. Jon’s diligent approach and dedication enabled retailers across the USA to successfully launch online SNAP payments and nourish their communities,” said Nick Nickitas, Founder of Rosie, an Instacart Company.
Join us in congratulating Jon for his contributions that are helping to push the food industry forward!
